I named this series Colors and Reflections. Colors are the essence of beauty—vivid, profound, and yet so easily taken for granted. Reflections, on the other hand, serve as gentle reminders to pause and appreciate what is. Too often, we move through life distracted, failing to truly see the beauty and meaning all around us.
I grew up in an era where starting a startup was considered the ultimate dream. In my twenties, I threw myself into building businesses, chasing wealth, and striving to become the version of myself who could live without limits. I believed that once I had enough money to buy anything I wanted, I’d finally be happy. But that dream was an illusion. When I reached that point—when I could afford anything—I fell into a deep depression.
People around me thought I was losing my mind. But the truth was, the more money I made, the more things I bought, the more attention I craved, the emptier my life felt. It started with material things: cars, watches, shoes. But it didn’t stop there. Eventually, it became about craving recognition and validation. None of it brought me happiness.
It took me years and countless books to understand that the problem wasn’t in seeking variety—it was in not understanding my purpose. When you don’t know why you’re here, you start chasing. And it’s not money, love, or fame you’re after. What you’re truly chasing is dopamine, the fleeting high of pleasure. But real fulfillment comes from something deeper.
To live a meaningful life, you must learn to exist in a state of joy, not just pleasure. As humans, we naturally repeat what gives us pleasure, but if those actions aren’t aligned with our higher purpose, life feels empty. The key is to create a life where the things you do repeatedly bring both joy and purpose. That’s how I found myself creating digital art.
Art became my way of reflecting, appreciating beauty, and finding meaning. It brought me back to a state of alignment with who I truly am. I hope you find your purpose too.
And remember: colors are the essence of beauty, and reflections are gentle reminders to truly see.
